Business Analyst -AX

   

Responsibilities 

 

  • Configure/Develop and implement major business systems software and components involving ERP in the Finance and Accounting Areas
  • Technical liaison to business groups for application support
  • Leverage understanding of ERP and CRM systems to drive functional improvements and identify areas for process development
  • Work on complex business problems and drive the Business and IT organizations to arrive at value added propositions, project plans and tangible results
  • Cross functional knowledge in at least 3 of the following disciplines Finance & Accounting, Supply Chain Management and Customer Relationship Management
  • Take on the role of a project leader for short term projects and assignments
  • Support & drive change process and communication
  • Coordinate and contribute to end-user training
  • Drive effective usage of business systems to maximize solution value
  • Ensure database reliability and integrity and execute system test plans
  • Maintain development, staging and production environments

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Qualifications 

 

  • Must have ERP application configuration and customization experience in MS Dynamics AX (Axapta). 5+ years in IT; 5+ in ERP; 3+ years in AX
  • Familiarity and good understanding of integration aspects between Finance and Accounting and other areas such as Manufacturing and/or Service & Sales
  • Candidate must possess a proven competence with development methodologies, QA fundamentals, process documentation and project management
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability balance multiple demands and thrive in a collaborative environment
  • Proven ability to write effective system and process documentation (including business and system requirements, business process diagrams and data flow diagrams)
  • Familiarity with tax packages, monthly close process FRX and Forecaster a plus
  • Familiarity with X++, C#, .Net skills programming language
  • Exceptional customer service, organizational, and time management skills
  • Technical knowledge and fundamental concepts of databases (preferably MS SQL) and general networking
  • Report writing skills highly desirable (preferably with Crystal Reports or Microsoft SQL Reporting)
  • Familiarity with ITIL best practices and SOX compliance a plus
